Archives: Whitetail-Wolf Hunt

To date, I have been on 3 whitetail hunts with AWGS and filled tags aside, I consider my hunts to be successful. Without hesitation, I can say that every detail of my experience with AWGS has been first class.

AWGS is a very good outfitter that has developed a unique method of providing hard hunters with better than average odds on mature whitetails. 

My 5 hunts with AWGS resulted in 5 awesome bucks and a couple of black timber wolves…not to mention a load of memories that will last forever.

I’ve hunted whitetails in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta for 35 seasons. It took awhile to find an outfitter who will put in the effort required to create an opportunity at a “top end whitetail”. This November will be my 22nd year with AWGS – “nuff said!”

I have been blessed enough to enjoy the AWGS camps on 4 occasions! The guides are regular guys that love what they do and work HARD to make sure you are in the best possible spot!

Three buddies and I had the privilege of spending a week with Dean up in Canada. The lodge was very comfortable, and the food was first class. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We all either harvested deer or had opportunities to harvest a deer.

If your dream is to kill a mature, big woods buck in Canada this is the place to go!

I have made lifelong friendships with other hunters, the guides, and the cook (fabulous meals). If you are looking for a Big Bush Canadian Whitetail Adventure, I would always recommend AWGS.

If you want to experience beautiful country and a realistic opportunity to see a 150-160 inch whitetail (and maybe much larger) then AWGS is a good choice!

It’s hard to believe that this year’s hunt could surpass others I’ve had with you guys over the years! Every slammer Whitetail I’ve seen up there, is burned into my memory. My Alberta hunt with AWGS each year is in some ways – all that I think about down here!
