Late October Pre-Rut Hunts run out of our Northcamp Lodge and area with David. This is true “Rut Preparation” time for our Bucks, and they are actively laying down sign in the areas that the Does are using. The Bucks are following a loose pattern related to the feeding/bedding activity of the Does at this time, and our set-ups take advantage of their movements. Our experience in bowhunting, guiding, scouting, and patterning mature Whitetails, is used to formulate these set-ups along traditional “travel corridors” and “high interaction” areas. You will not be hunting “baited” Deer or set-ups solely dependent on feeding activity. This hunt has you primarily sitting “all day sits” in anticipation of Buck movement, along with some “rattling” & “calling”, as at this time of the year, they do respond to the antlers. The area we hunt is a true Bowhunter’s paradise. By combining our experience, area, and dedication – along with your patience, equipment, skills, and experience - we have a great shot at making your Alberta Bowhunt an experience of a lifetime. |

We have added a limited number of tags that Tyler now runs out of our Westcamp Lodge and area in mid-September, just as the Rut is starting to pick up. You will get in on these Bulls right out of the gate, as the first hunters in camp for Moose. Tyler’s unique calling style is quite a sight to behold – and it’s worth the price of admission just for that scene! Tyler then comes over to Guide with his partners – David Bzawy and Dean Bromberger on our late-September Rut hunt that we run out of the Northcamp area during the “calling season”. This is a real sought-after hunt for our Archers, due to the success and activity an Archer has on this hunt. We base out of our Northcamp Lodge, but we spend more that half the time out of our “spike” tent camp located in the heart of the area we hunt. You and your Guide will spend the majority of the time walking into “calling” set-ups, or moving to locate Moose and sign. The overall Moose population in both of our zones is very healthy – with many mature Bulls being tallied each fall that are in the 40" inch + category – with a few being tallied each season in the 50" inch+ category! |

Early Season Hunts run during the late August – early September period and are operated out of our Westcamp Lodge and area by Tyler, where we are patterning and setting up on Bucks in velvet and post velvet. Most of the Bucks are still in bachelor groups and reasonably patternable around the food sources we have in our areas such as Alfalfa, Barley, Peas & Oats. Some of our early season set-ups take advantage of numerous natural mineral “licks” we have as well. The days are still long at this time and depending on the conditions, you may find yourself in either a morning / evening sit scenario, or doing the odd “all day sit”. 
We now have two options to choose from for hunting Moose with Bow.
Archery Elk or Mule Deer: as an added bonus to combo with your Westcamp Whitetail hunt, you can add an option for Elk or Mule Deer for an additional $1450 USD (including lic.)
