When you are deciding on a spot to hunt, we encourage calling references of all prospective outfitters because a few dollars spent pre-planning your hunt can save you the grief of a disappointing experience. Our references are not all chosen for the beautiful trophy they saw or shot, but rather for their general understanding of whitetail and their willingness to chat about their Alberta hunt. They are definitely not paid nor privileged customers.
Don't let your hunt be full of unsuspected surprises. Here are some things to ask about:
- living accommodations
- meals
- are things organized
- # of deer being seen daily
- methods of hunting (conducive to your style?)
- guides knowlege of deer in the area
- outfitters' overall effort
- overall value
