Great Deer of 2003
Paul Hunter
As the name suggests, Paul was hunter enough to stick to the chore until his last day. On that day, deer kept coming in from behind where some bush funnels down virtually onto the stand site. Usually deer cross out in front of the stand & run does across the fenceline right & left of him. Anyway, despite being "caught" by the buck, it made the mistake of running off & attempting to cross the fence anyway, further down. The pause before the jump did him in.
