We are lucky to have veterans hunting with us. If that wasn't the case, so many of these Saturday (last day) bucks would end up staying here in Alberta. You eventually learn that it makes little sense to harvest a younger deer when you see a half decent one, & you eventually learn the importance of maintaining confidence right through to the end. This was a big old massive horned buck that no doubt had grown more inches in his younger years.
